This compendium addresses the needs of clinicians who require fast access to clear, concise, evidence-based information on the issues involved in nutritional and metabolic support in a wide variety of patient situations. Through didactic presentations by expert faculty, case studies, and learning assessment questions, the participant is engaged in interactive, multimedia learning.
Participants may expect to:
- State the issues involved in adequately supporting the nutritional and metabolic needs of patients who have a wide variety of disease states and conditions.
- Identify disease states and conditions in which current evidence shows improved patient outcomes by provision of targeted nutritional therapy.
- Utilize tools and references to supplement and update your knowledge of nutrition support therapy.
This program has an intermediate difficulty level rating; assuming a general to thorough knowledge of the literature and clinical practice within the areas covered and geared toward enhancing knowledge of the theoretical basis for clinical practice.
